What makes Beach Side Ceremonies different than other Beach wedding services in the area?

Most companies include "informal" services with their packages. All of the services performed by Beach Side Ceremonies are professional. Our Photography is done using the latest digital equipment and our images are printed by a professional image studio to ensure you the best quality prints. Our "Video of the Ceremony" Service is filmed using a professional video camera to ensure that you get the best quality video. Our floral designs are done by a professional florist and our cakes are baked by a local pastry chef.

Secondly, unlike other beach wedding companies who perfom up to 5 weddings in one day, Beach Side reserves only one wedding per day to ensure that the utmost attention is payed to the quality of service we give to our Brides.

Some companies limit phone calls, do you limit the amount of phone calls or e-mails I can make?

Absolutely not. We do not limit the time spent with you coordinating your ceremony. Other companies limit phone conversations to as little as 1 hour and even place limits on e-mails. We understand that there will be lots of questions and concerns and the last thing we want is for you to feel uncomfortable about talking with us. You can feel free to contact us at anytime.

How do I get started planning my beach wedding?

First, give us a call. If you already have a date in mind, we will check for availablity, and book accordingly. If you still haven’t decided on a date, we can discuss which time of year is best for you, what time of day you would like the ceremony performed as well as several other factors that my affect your decision. We will always try to accommodate you in any way we can. Email us today to start planning your special day.

Who will be performing my ceremony?

We feel that one of the most important parts of your ceremony is selecting the right person to perform it. This is one of the first things we will discuss with you. We provide an Officiant with all of our packages and work with several in our area. Depending on whether you choose to have a Notary or an Ordained Minister, a phone consolation is usually set in advance to discuss your vows.

Can I have my own Officiant?

Yes. We especially love to see family members or friends perform ceremonies for their loved ones. They will need to be either Ordained or a Notary for the state of Florida. We will deduct $100.00 from the price of your package. We do ask that we talk with your Officiant prior to the ceremony to go over details.

Where will my ceremony be performed?

Beach Side Ceremonies will go to the site of your choice, (extra fees apply for areas outside Navarre and Pensacola Beach). It is popular to set up your ceremony outside the Rental/Condo or Hotel where you are staying. It will be your responsibility to obtain permission from the rental agent or Hotel. We also use State Parks and Beach Access areas.

Can I customize my ceremony?

Yes. You will be able to discuss with your Officiant about including children, parents, and others in your ceremony. If you would like to write your own vows, you can discuss this with the Officiant as well. If you have a special style in mind for your ceremony, we will be happy to create a unique design using the flowers of your choice.

Will there be anyone else on the beach during my ceremony?

Most likely yes, depending on the time of year and the site. All areas of the beach are public; however, some are more secluded than others.

Do you do rehearsals?

No. We do not do a full rehearsal, but include in our package, a short, on site meeting with the Director prior to the ceremony. We can discuss the way your ceremony will take place at that time. We also recommend that you do a rehearsal on your own. Keep in mind that all of our packages include a Director, who will help guide you and your wedding party during your ceremony. Your vows can be discussed with your Officant prior to the ceremony as well.

How do we obtain a Marriage License?

Marriage licenses are obtained through the Clerk of the Court. The fee for a Marriage License in the state of Florida is $93.50. There is a 3 day waiting period for Florida Residents and NO waiting period for Non-Florida Residents. Both parties must be present and must show a state issued I.D. See the following links for more information:

What happens in instances of inclement weather?

We understand first hand how concerning bad weather can be when planning your wedding. In fact, my husband and I were married the day Hurricane George graced us with his presence. From this experience, we found out how important it is to be as accommodating as possible for the couple and their family. If weather becomes a factor (heavy rain, lightning or tropical storm) we can reschedule or postpone your ceremony in the following ways: move locations, re-schedule for a later date, or reschedule for a different time that day. We do leave the responsibility of having a back up plan to the couple, but rest easy that we will work with you in any way we can to make any transitions go smoothly.

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept Visa or Master Cards and Cashiers Checks or Money orders. We will accept personal checks for your deposit but will not book the date until your check has cleared (up to two weeks). If you would like to pay the balance of your package with a personal check, we asked that you do so 30 days prior to your ceremony. We will accept a Cashier’s check or Money order 14 days prior to your ceremony.

What happens if I have to cancel?

We will gladly return any payment minus your deposit within 7 days of your cancellation.

Can I purchase wedding insurance?

Yes. We recommend that you look into insuring your wedding. There are several companies that write policies to cover your wedding day. See WedSafe - http://www.wedsafe.com for more information.
